Welcome to cvchurch.ca!
CVC is a wonderfully diverse community of people; single moms with babies, children, teenagers, young single adults, and married couples with growing families, empty nesters and our beloved seniors. Our CVC family is made up of people of different races, different passions, different viewpoints and different ages and yet we are all learning how to do life together as God’s family. We like to say we are a place “for people just like you.”
We believe Jesus didn’t come to bring us a new religion, but rather a new relationship with his Heavenly Father, inviting us to become members of His family. As His family we not only gather to worship and celebrate His goodness on Sunday as the church but we do life together.
Imagine a family where it’s okay to be you, not having to fear people judging you for issues you struggle with and knowing they will support you on your way to victory.
At CVC you will find an amazing children’s church ministry from nursery to age 12 delivered by a trained professional ministry team who have a passion for helping kids encounter the reality of Jesus. We also have vibrant Jr. & Sr. Youth/Young Adult programs along with regular men’s, women’s and senior’s events.
Our music style and culture that would best be described as contemporary and joyfully uplifting; passionate and intense. We want our music and the words we sing to bring praise and glory to God, creating an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of the Living God where they are changed.
We don’t always get it right because we are all works in progress. Our desire is to become an authentic community of Christ followers who are learning what it means to live in God’s love. You won’t find a bunch of perfect people at CVC but it’s a place where people can be honest about their struggles and find the help and support to walk into the freedom that Christ offers us.
We believe God calls us to be part of a local church where we can use our gifts to bless others and to receive things God has for us through that local body because God is about relationships; not religion. As a family we don’t see every issue the same way but we do expect people to honour one another as we take this journey together.
Lastly we don’t have a special Sunday dress code – just wear clothes. And come expecting!
We look forward to welcoming you!
