We'd like to answer as many of your questions as possible so that your visit with us will be as comfortable as possible. If we fail to answer your questions in the list below, please feel free to email us at:
cvcinfo@cvchurch.ca

1. How do I get there?

We have detailed directions available on this site. Just follow this link: Directions to CVC

2. Where do I park?

As you pull into our parking lot off Brealey Drive, there should be plenty of space in our upper parking lot. The front doors are located under the front carporter passenger drop-off. If it is raining, please feel free to drop your passnegers off by the front doors so they don't have to get wet!

3. What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! Most people dress smart casual, but you will find everything from suits to shorts to biker leather! We really mean it when we say we are a church for people just like you!

4. Who should I find if I have any questions?

You will be greeted at the doors by our friendly greeters. THey can provide information and direct you to the washrooms, kids church registration, etc. Our ushers will help you find a good seat. Once the service has started, they are always available to help you.

You can always identify one of our volunteers by the badge they are wearing.

5. What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we run a full kids program. For your protection and the safety of your child, if they are attending Kids Church they must be registered. The child registraion table is in the front lobby as you enter the church, and you will be given a special security tag for each child, so that only you can retrieve them after service. The people on the registration table will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our children join us for the first couple of songs right at the start of the service. Then they will be dismissed by the pastor to their age-appropriate groups.

The Nursery is on the main level. There is a one-way window looking into the Nursery for your peace of mind. There is also a nursing area for moms. This area is wired for sound so you can still enjoy the service while nursing.

The children's church rooms are downstairs. Please register your children before service to speed things up. Afterwards, your children will only be released to the parent carrying the numbered identity tag issued at registration.

For further details follow this link: Kids Church

6. Where are the washrooms?

You will find the washrooms on the upper level. As you come in the main front doors, you will see a coffee station straight ahead. Go past that, with the Nursery doors on your right and the men's and women's washrooms are on the left.

Please feel free to use the facilities at any time. No-one will look at you strangely if you get up to use the washrooms or to check on your young ones in the Nursery / Toddlers area.

. What can I expect to happen during the service itself?

The service will start with a few songs. Our music is upbeat and contemporary. The words will be on the big screens for you. If you don't know the songs, just relax and listen. Feel free to sing, clap, tap your feet - whatever you are comfortable with. Most people will stand during any music, but equally, fell free to sit if you wish.

Following the music, there will be announcements and offering, and then the message. There are usually notes on the big screens to help you follow along, including the Bible verses quoted, etc.

At the end of the service, there is usually a little more music and the chance for you to respond to what you have heard.

We assure you that you will not made to feel embarrassed, asked to speak, made to come forward, etc. At one point you may be invited to shake hands and introduce yourselves to some of the people around you, but you'll find them all very friendly!

8. How long will the service be?

Most of our services last about an hour and a half. Our visitors often remark that, because of the ‘up tempo’ style of our services, and the animated, informative teaching, incorporating the use of PowerPoint and other multimedia resources, the time seems to fly by.

9. What happens after service?

It's family fellowship time. Please join us for free coffee in the lobby straight after service. Please stay for a while afterwards to give the pastors a chance to get around and meet you. After all, church is all about people and relationships, and we would like to get to know you.

10. What about the guest bag?

At the door, you should be presented with a guest bag. This is designed to give you a feel for what the church is like and contains a teaching message from the Senior Pastor, some booklets and further information about the church. It also contains a guest card. Please fill that in as your way of introducing yourself to us. If you present it in the bookstore, they have a free gift for you.

11. Can I borrow from your lending library?

We do require that you be a regular attendee of the church to use our lending library. However, all the great materials in the bookstore are for sale, so we encourage you to take a good look!
