SENIOR PASTOR: Rev. Mark Murack Pastors Mark and Wendy Murack came to Peterborough in 1996 to take over a small church which was started in 1993. They were married in 1986 and have one daughter, Lauren who was born in 1994. The foundation for Mark's ministry was formed during his early years, when as a teen he walked away from God, thinking he would find happiness through a life of drugs and alcohol. He left that life and met Wendy but after a few years of marriage his life came crashing down when they separated for a year. He finally admitted that his way of living was only producing a defeated life, filled with pain. It was during that time that God got hold of Mark and he started learning the difference between a 'Living Christianity' filled with love and power rather than a dead religion of do's and don'ts. God restored their marriage and for the last 18 years they have been on a journey, learning how to walk in God's way of victory in their own lives, and then sharing those transformational truths with others. Before becoming a pastor, Mark spent many years in business, managing stores, training sales staff, and owning his own consulting business, working with business leaders, helping them grow their businesses. He made the transition from working for God in the business world to working in the church as an Associate Pastor for a number of years at a fast-growing church in Ajax, Ontario, before coming to Christian Victory Church.  The Pastoral / Apostolic call upon his life is clearly seen, as Mark is passionately committed to training Christians, raising up ministers and ministries that are empowered to help in this great time of reaching unchurched people with the good news of God's kingdom. He believes that every person is a leader and has a passion to help people become great leaders at home, with kids, at work and for God's kingdom. Pastor Mark is an ordained minister under Dr Earlby Coulter of Harvest Family Church in Mississauga and is also associated with Open Bible Faith Fellowship of Canada, as well as the Willow Creek Association of Churches. To email Pastor Mark: mark.murack@cvchurch.ca Pastor Wendy's family moved from South Africa when she was very young, and she grew up in the Toronto area. She spent a number of years in sales alongside her active involvement in the church. She is called as a teacher to the body of Christ, and has been given a mandate to teach people how to walk in their God-given authority.  She is an ordained minister, also under Dr Earlby Coulter of Harvest Family Church in Mississauga, and is currently pursuing advanced education through Beacon University, for whom she oversees one of their satellite campus locations at CVC. In addition to teaching, she also oversees a number of ministries at CVC. Catey Jobin Pastor Catey Jobin has been with Christian Victory Church since 1996 and currently serves as the Children's Pastor.   Catey has always had a supernatural love for kids that goes back as far as when she herself was a little girl playing with the neighborhood kids. Her passion and commitment to children's ministry is the evident heartbeat of her life, and she adds considerable experience and knowledge to her desire to see every one of our children flourish in the things of God.  Catey lives with a passion burning inside of her to see kids not only receiving the life and power of God into their lives from a very young age but also learning how to be Champions for God. Catey's belief is that she is in partnership with parents, and is always willing to assist them in finding effective solutions to the extremely challenging job of raising kids. Her desire is to produce kids who will rock their generation for Jesus Christ, even in a world that is constantly luring them to do the opposite. Pastor Catey is a graduate of New Life Bible School in Cleveland, TN., as well as Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK. She is ordained under Open Bible Faith Fellowship (OBFF). Harvey Evans Pastor Harvey Evans serves as an Associate Pastor overseeing our growing vibrant seniors ministry and is an ordained minister under Open Bible Faith Fellowship (OBFF).   He and his wife Marlene will be married for 43 years in 2008. They have 4 wonderful children and 11 amazing grand children. Harvey had a love and compassion for seniors since he was a young boy, visiting and assisting in their daily lives, and as a minister for many years, has taken an active role in ministering to their needs. His desire is that they be endued with power, which comes from Jesus Christ, to reach others with that life changing power and experiencing the love of Christ in fullness.
