At CVC, children are highly valued in every way, and our desire is to minister to our children in a dynamic, exciting and inspiring way. Kids church operates on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Following the first few songs, the kids are dismissed through the main sanctuary doors and taken down to the children's area on the lower level. Here they are split into two groups by age: Mighty Warriors is for kids age 8-13; Little Arrows for 4-7. Kids younger than four will be in our Nursery and Toddlers program (follow link to Nursery / Toddler page for further details). Young people of age 13 and up join our Youth group (see Vertical Youth), although many of them remain involved with Kids Church as helpers.

Kid’s Church is designed to be a celebration that kids will never want to miss. Our services feature passionate worship, imaginative games and lesson illustrations, mixed with zany antics from the Kid's Church workers guaranteed to keep your child’s attention while making learning about God both fun and memorable. Every child is precious and valuable with gifts and talents waiting to be discovered and developed for use as they ‘Rock their World for Jesus Christ.’ We want every child to know that God loves them just the way they are, that He wants to reveal His plan for their life, and that He wants to help them grow, develop and flourish as they walk with Him daily. Like “Arrows in the hands of a Mighty Warrior,” when pointed in the right direction by a skillful archer, our kids will learn how to shake the gates of hell and do great damage to the kingdom of darkness. At CVC we believe kids are just as capable in their own unique way, of worshipping God fully and have frequently witnessed them not only entering but being the ones who ushered in His very Presence. Indeed we have kids from Kid’s Church singing on the Music Team in main service. Kids are learning from early on that they are ministers of the gospel and are trained from a young age take their place in serving (No Pew Potatoes Here!) whether as Ushers, Greeters, Members of our Worship Team or helpers in some other area of church ministry. We teach them how to share the gospel with their friends, and that it is our personal responsibility, as well as a pleasure, to bring others into the family of God. At Kid’s Church there is a place for everyone – all are welcome. We are a church for ‘Kids Just like You!’

Catey Jobin has served as Children's Pastor, as well as Principal of our ACE Elementary School. Catey has a passion for kids ministry and a wealth of experience with kids of all ages.
