1993
Rev. Rick McKnight had been travelling to Peterborough for some time, conducting special meetings at St Alphonsus Church. The Lord directed him to start a church here. So Shiloh Word Fellowship was born in 1993 started by Rev. Rick and Bonnie McKnight, and began by meeting in the Public Library.
1995
God had spoken to them to tell them that the church was to be located in the West end of Peterborough. They looked but could not find an appropriate location at that time. So, they moved into 356 Simons Avenue in 1995, renting the facility from Church of the Open Bible.
1996
At this time, Mark and Wendy Murack were serving as Associate Pastors at Faith Family Church in Ajax. In June 1996, God called them to take over the reins of Shiloh. In the first few services there were less than 20 attendees, but God planted a big vision in their hearts to reach the lost of the Peterborough area and to inspire the church to abundant living.
1999
Simons Avenue facility was purchased in February 1999. At this point the basement and bathrooms were refurbished, the church office was moved from the Pastors’ house to the church and a balcony was built to house the sound booth.
The church name was changed to Christian Victory Church in December to fit with the Pastors’ vision for the church.

A Stewardship Campaign was launched and over $250,000 was pledged over a three year period towards the purchase of its new building by the church congregation.
The old Fellowship Hall in the basement was divided into three classrooms for CVS. In the main sanctuary, the sound booth was extended from the back of the room and new sound and multimedia equipment was installed. Work begun redecorating the office wing.
